If you have never ordered cannabis delivery in DC before, the gifting model takes a minute to get your head around. This is the short version, using Dupont Circle as the example — the same process applies anywhere in our delivery zone.
How gifting actually works
Under DC’s Initiative 71, cannabis cannot be sold — but it can be gifted. So what you are paying for is the donation, and the cannabis comes with it as a gift. Initiative 81 covers entheogens the same way. That is why you will see “donation” rather than “price” at checkout, and why every order needs a 21+ ID at the door.
It is not a loophole anyone is being cute about. It is how every compliant delivery service in the District operates.
Ordering, step by step
- Check you are in the zone. Drop a pin on the delivery map. Dupont Circle is comfortably inside it, as is most of the DC metro.
- Browse the menu. Everything on the shop page is what we actually have. If it is listed, it is in stock.
- Pick your rail at checkout. Cash, Cash App, or crypto. Crypto rails — BTC, ETH, USDC, DOGE, XRP — take 10% off automatically.
- Choose a window. We run 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days. Most Dupont orders land inside the hour.
- Meet the driver with ID. 21+, every time, no exceptions. Packaging is sealed and unbranded.
What to know before your first order
- Minimums apply. $50 for pickup, $75 for delivery in DC, $250 in Virginia. Delivery is $20 in DC, $25 for Arlington and Alexandria.
- Consume at home. Public consumption is still prohibited in the District, parks and sidewalks included. The gift is legal; smoking it on the street is not.
- Ask if you are unsure. Use the menu or call 202-731-3165 and someone will talk you through what suits.
- Rewards accrue. Points for orders, reviews and referrals, redeemable against future donations.
Delivering around Dupont
Dupont is dense and our drivers know it — the Connecticut Avenue corridor, the blocks off Massachusetts, the embassy stretch, and the buildings around the Metro. Apartment buildings with a front desk are no problem; tell us the unit and we will handle the rest.
For product availability and coverage detail specific to the neighbourhood, see our Dupont Circle delivery page. Nearby areas have their own: Logan Circle, U Street, Kalorama and West End.
All deliveries are made in accordance with I-71 (cannabis gifting) and I-81 (entheogens) guidelines. By donating, you confirm you are 21+. Valid ID is required at delivery.
